Cuter than Kagemusha?
I might have to get a pair of fisheye glasses simply to enjoy the enhanced cuteness factor they provide when viewing my own puppy. In the meantime, I can just go here.
If you can't get one of these dogs or a pair of fisheye glasses for some reason, you can always get The Dog, arriving imminently stateside. These guys were everywhere in Japan when we went last April.

I'm sorry, did you say billion, with a 'B'?
The fact that AOL / Time Warner can lose more in one year than the State of California spends is supremely mind boggling.
"The number of worldwide subscribers actually declined 100,000 in the fourth quarter to 35.2 million."You mean there are still 35.2 million complete idiots out there that use this crap service? My guess is that $97 billion of that loss was from sending CD's out in metal cases and DVD boxes every freakin second. I mean, every week I get one, and every week it has apparently iterated through one full version. AOL 7.0? AOL 8.0? AOL 9.0? Wait, didn't 6.0 come out 5 weeks ago? My only conclusion is that there are 35.2 million people out there who are either (a) Pedophiles or (b) FBI agents posing as 12-year-olds.

Anybody get bodily injured over the weekend?
According to some legal experts (probably Harvard professors), the person who thankfully showed us how weak Microsoft, the Internet, and most sysadmins are, could go to jail for life.
"The worm's author could face up to life in prison under new U.S. anti-terror legislation passed two months ago, some legal experts said.
Under the Cyber-Security Enhancement Act, prosecutors can seek a life sentence against hackers caught launching attacks that cause or attempt to cause deaths. An attack aimed at causing 'serious bodily injury' could result in 20 years behind bars. "
Ya, I can picture the scenario. Some geek who can't read slashdot on Sunday morning decides to go outside and play ultimate frisbee because he actually understands the rules but due to 12 years of pork rinds coursing through his veins he drops dead.

Get the UN on the line....
Perhaps Iraq has weapons of mass destruction after all. As with other biotoxins like Anthrax and Ricin, this lethal weapon can be made at home -- in this case, from potatoes. It seems likely that these materials (or the schematics therefor) were smuggled in from Germany, or perhaps the weapons were constructed from parts purchased on the Black Market, or from some similarly seedy place, such as Home Depot. Germany is already taking measures to halt the proliferation of these lethal starch delivery mechanisms.

Get 10 CD's for $.01!
Be sure to get your piece of the pie. I'd rather they keep the money, and just let everyone download all the music they want, forever.
"The Defendants have agreed to pay a combination of cash and non-cash consideration. Defendants' combined cash payments total $67,375,000. In addition, Distributor Defendants will provide $75,700,000 worth of prerecorded music compact discs."Cool. Send me my Englebert Humperdink's Greatest Hits. Well worth the several thousand dollars I've been gouged out of over the last 10 years through buying copious amounts of Compact Disc media.

Mozilla v. The Blog Monster
well, if there were ever a lawsuit that involved these parties on either side, this would invariably be the headline.
