I'll be taking a shopping cart out later today for some knee grinding sessions.

I didn't know this guy, but I want to know who killed him. Or, at the very least, when the made-for-T.V. movie is coming out.

Mysterio is GAY! for SPIDERMAN!

http://blog.airdrop.org/images/spiderman/
Yes, this has been around. But, in case you don't want the hassle of refreshing 40 times to make sure you saw them all, you can peep my page. Original ripoffs via newcomicreviews.com. Yes, some are offensive -- to folks who don't understand that they are TRYING to be offensive. If you like get your war on's sense of humor, you should like these. Only, without the politics. (no, the politics aren't a bad.) Shit, leave me alone.

Beastie Bums

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/06/23/beastie_boy_cd_virus/
It's things like this which make one feel good about downloading an album off the internet many weeks before it is released. Especially when it is the album of a group that you would have expected to be the first to embrace a progressive distribution scheme such as mp3s over P2P networks. After all, weren't these the same guys who released their first single in three years for free over the internet. Sure, the album art is pretty nice, and music-wise it is better than anything since Check Your Head, but it ain't no Paul's Boutique.

Cockney Slang

http://www.johnbarber.com/cockneyindex.html
Long before Old Navy commercials had Fran Dresher saying her shizzle has gone fazizzle, another form of thug slang had long been co-opted: Cockney Rhyming Slang. I have always been a fan of the stuff, and recommend having a butcher's at this book if you want to learn more. For some more links on the matter, see here and also here. If you are truly impatient, use the online translator.

Duke of Hazzard

http://www.huckgee.com/wrx/huckjump.jpg
While executing this jump, (but in a white '03 WRX, not a silver '04 STi) Huck managed to mangle his front lip because he went 65 feet airborne. Huck also says he was 4 feet off the ground, which was higher than the silver STi, and out-jumped him by a good ten feet. Speed at jump time: around 70mph.

## UPDATE ##
An actual photo taken by one of the gearheads at Huck's Jump turned out.

Creepier than the Burger King Chicken

http://albinoblacksheep.com/flash/popeyes.php
Downright disturbing, in fact. Looks like the video footage is from Korea, as there is a .5 second burn-in of what looks like Korean writing at the bottom.

Attack of the 500 pixel woman

http://images.bonzi.com/chars/468memturbooptimized2/puppet.swf
Safari's activity window makes it so easy to yank elements off a web page. This banner ad for an internet community college struck me because the broad's eyes kept tracking my mouse. I was powerless to resist, so I clicked to hear her talk. It was music to my ears. I learned her name is Tina, and suddenly, I knew I had to free her. So, I looked at my activity window in Safari, and there she was. Can you believe they crammed her into that little space? Inhumane, I say! Now she's all mine. You can date her sister if you want, though she's a bit of a whore.

Wack Fest

Roy Jones, Jr. earned $6 million in his second fight against Tarver, and received his first loss. I can't tell if I would feel like a bigger idiot for losing the Slap Fest, or for participating and actually getting the $1000 (and Summer Jam tickets).

Yet another "download media for protest" audio bundle.

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/07/movies/07POTT.html
I refuse to read or watch any Harry Potter book or film. When I meet someone over 18 who says "you haven't read any Harry Potter books? But they're really good!", I pretty much want to punch them in the face. Yeah, Choose Your Own Adventure Books were good, too. But I sure as shit don't read them now. Well, I may watch Sorcerer's Stone simply for the humor value of the alternate soundtrack created by Brad Neely. However, I fear I may need to watch it "clean" in order to appreciate the spoof version. In other words, I still won't watch it after all.
